Camp Fire Minnesota's 2013 Annual Meeting
On Monday, May 20th, Camp Fire held our 2013 Annual Meeting at Microsoft Corporation in Edina. The meeting featured a keynote address on the importance of "Developmental Relationships" for today's youth by Kent Pekel, President & CEO of Search Institute. We heard from Teens in Action and high school graduates, Malcolm and Derrick, as well as U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, who couldn't attend, but sent a wonderful letter in support of Camp Fire's programs. We watched an inspiring video starring Camp Fire youth from Lincoln Place and Brooklyn Center Teens in Action and presented awards for outstanding camp counselors, program leader, community partners, volunteer, and Leadership Legacy awards. We were thrilled to share our 2012 accomplishments in our 2012 Annual Report and even more excited to look forward to 2013 and beyond.

Thanks to Board Member Darren Harbaugh and Microsoft for hosting the meeting and to all who were able to attend!

This Campaign for Camp Tanadoona is a chance to reinvest in and revitalize this magical place. Together we will preserve the camp’s rustic charm, while improving infrastructure and amenities. The ultimate goal is to provide more youth with a richer camp experience throughout the year, allowing more uninterrupted time connected to nature and just being a kid.
